The Buckeye Sports Special is the only modern production revolver chambered for both .38-40 WCF and 10 mm Auto directly from the factory. Each cylinder is precision-fit, allowing caliber changes without tools while maintaining tight lockup.
Ruger built this model on a full-size carbon-steel frame with a polished blued finish for durability and classic appeal. The matching 6-shot cylinder and 6.5-inch barrel further enhance balance and down-range performance.
Smooth Goncalo Alves hardwood grips with Ruger medallions provide a secure, comfortable grip and complement the revolver’s deep blue finish. Adjustable iron sights—screw-pinned serrated ramp front and fully adjustable square-notch rear—deliver a clear sight picture for precise shooting.
Internally, Ruger’s transfer-bar safety and loading-gate interlock allow safe carry with all six chambers loaded while preserving the crisp single-action trigger pull that Blackhawks are known for.
