The 4-inch stainless steel cone barrel features a fluted chamber and flush-cut reverse crown, promoting optimal lock-up and easy maintenance. Paired with the tri-top slide, X-TAC serrations, and a 30 LPI serrated top rib, the slide is fast to manipulate and resists glare during daylight shooting.
Wilson’s X-Frame integrates a wraparound X-TAC textured G10 grip and a flared magazine well, delivering a secure hold and smooth reloads without adding bulk. Despite the 18-round capacity, the grip dimension mimics a traditional single-stack 1911, making the pistol comfortable for a wide range of hand sizes.
The single-action system uses a lightweight solid curved trigger, a skeletonized concealment hammer, and an external extractor for consistent ignition and reliable ejection. A red fiber-optic front sight pairs with the adjustable Battlesight rear, providing a bright, fast sight picture that can be tuned for point of impact.
An unloaded weight of roughly 30 ounces keeps recoil manageable while remaining light enough for everyday carry. Finished entirely in Armor-Tuff, the EDC X9 resists corrosion and wear, ensuring the pistol stays looking sharp after extensive use.
