FN Nomad .22 LR Semi-Automatic Pistol, 6.5" Tapered Barrel, Belgian-Made 1967
Made in Belgium in 1967, this FN Nomad pairs FN’s precise rimfire engineering with a streamlined feature set designed for reliable target work. The 6.5-inch tapered barrel, fully adjustable rear sight, and lightweight striker-fired blowback action make it a practical, well-balanced .22 LR pistol that also holds collectible appeal as a discontinued model.

What’s Included
- One 10-round factory Browning steel magazine compatible with Nomad/Challenger/Medalist pistols
Produced from 1962 to 1974, the Nomad was FN’s entry-level member of its three-tier rimfire lineup, sitting below the Challenger and Medalist. It retained the same forged steel slide and barrel quality while omitting the slide stop and using a heel magazine release to keep costs down without compromising accuracy.
This example’s serial suffix “P7” confirms 1967 production, placing it squarely in the desirable mid-run years of Belgian manufacture. The “MADE IN BELGIUM” marking underscores its origin before production later shifted to other facilities.
The 6.5-inch tapered barrel provides a long sight radius for precise aiming, complemented by a tall front blade and fully adjustable rear notch. Combined with the smooth single-action striker system, the pistol offers a crisp trigger break ideal for range or small-game work.
Checkered black synthetic grip panels bearing the Browning logo give a secure hold while preserving the period-correct look. The pistol accepts the same 10-round magazines used by first-generation Challenger and Medalist models, simplifying accessory sourcing for shooters and collectors alike.
