Zastava Arms M88A 9mm Luger Compact Single-Action Pistol, Blued, 3.8" Barrel, 8+1
The Zastava M88A brings Tokarev lineage into a compact, all-steel 9mm format. Built in Serbia and imported by C.A.I., this single-action pistol pairs a 3.8-inch carbon-steel barrel with a slim, single-stack frame. A slide-mounted thumb safety and firing-pin block modernize the classic design for U.S. compliance, while the blued finish and external ring hammer preserve its military-inspired look.

All-steel construction gives the M88A a solid, recoil-taming heft in a compact footprint. The carbon-steel slide and frame wear a uniform blued finish that resists corrosion and maintains a traditional appearance.
The 3.8-inch barrel uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system similar to its Tokarev predecessors, offering reliable cycling with standard 9mm loads. Inside, the bore is bright and the rifling remains sharp, supporting consistent accuracy.
Controls are straightforward: a single-action trigger, external ring hammer, and slide-mounted thumb safety with an integrated firing-pin block. Full-height rear cocking serrations make slide manipulation easy, even with gloves.
Fixed iron sights—a front blade and drift-in dovetail rear notch—provide a clear sight picture without snag-prone edges. Black checkered synthetic grips keep the profile slim while ensuring a secure hold.
Although Zastava has discontinued the M88A, parts support remains available, making this pistol a practical choice for shooting, training, or collecting a modern variant of the classic Tokarev pattern.
