What’s Included
- Pietta 1858 Remington New Model Army “The Rattlesnake” .44 black powder revolver
Produced in Italy and imported by Century Arms International, this revolver captures the aesthetic of the Civil War–era Remington while showcasing modern craftsmanship. The two-tone finish sets off the factory scroll work, gold outline of a cowboy on a rearing horse, and the top-flat inscription “REMINGTON COMMEMORATIVE ‘THE RATTLESNAKE.’”
The stainless frame remains in-the-white, offering a striking contrast to the blued barrel and vivid nitre-blued cylinder. Walnut grips are cut from a single piece and shaped to the classic Remington profile, giving the shooter a secure, period-correct hold.
An 8-inch octagonal steel barrel provides a long sight radius for the fixed silver blade front and top-strap notch rear sights. Inside, the bore is mirror bright with sharply cut rifling, ready for precise black powder shooting or display.
As a single-action percussion design, the revolver operates with the familiar spurred hammer and loading lever assembly. Serial number 83297 carries the Italian AP/AS date code, verifying 1986–1987 production within the limited run.
