What’s Included
- Remington Model 95 Double Derringer .41 Rimfire pistol
Built in the Remington Arms Co. era, this Double Derringer carries the "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." top-rib marking associated with production from 1888 to 1911. It is an American-made steel over/under pocket pistol designed for the .41 Rimfire cartridge with a two-shot capacity.
The mechanism is single-action with a tip-up break-open layout secured by a top latch. A manual sliding extractor with a knurled thumbpiece sits between the barrels, and the design automatically alternates fire between the upper and lower barrels with each cock of the hammer.
Controls and handling features include an external spurred hammer and a spur trigger. Sighting is straightforward with a fixed half-moon front blade and a rear notch integral to the top latch.
The bird's-head grip uses two-piece black checkered panels with a brass escutcheon. An assembly number is stamped under the left grip, consistent with period Remington production practices.
