What’s Included
- High Standard Sentinel R-109 Kit-Gun revolver
The R-109 Kit-Gun is part of the High Standard Sentinel family designed by Harry H. Sefried II and produced in the United States in the early 1970s. This variant is the first Sentinel model to feature a fully adjustable square-notch rear sight, paired with a ramped, serrated front blade for precise sighting.
Construction combines a black-finished aluminum-alloy frame with a blued steel barrel and cylinder. The 4-inch round barrel is rollmarked "KIT-GUN." and "HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP. HAMDEN, CONN. U.S.A.
.22 CAL.", and the frame is stamped R-109 over the serial. Checkered wood grips provide a secure hold.
Operation is double-action/single-action with an exposed, serrated hammer spur. The 9-shot fluted cylinder swings out to the left and uses a star extractor. Uniquely, the cylinder releases by pushing the ejector rod forward rather than using a side-mounted latch.
Chambered in .22 LR, the revolver offers a 9-round capacity in a compact, utility-focused configuration. Materials and markings align with the period and place of manufacture in Hamden, Connecticut.
