This F-Series Frontier Scout is an alloy-frame, all-blue variant chambered for .22 LR with a convertible .22 WMR cylinder, giving it flexible rimfire performance. It uses a single-action-only mechanism with a 6-shot capacity and the classic 4.75 inch barrel length for a well-balanced, traditional handling profile.
The sighting setup is straightforward and durable, with a fixed blade front and an integral square-notch rear. A bullseye-style ejector rod head complements the single-action format, aligning with the model’s period-correct features.
Factory embellishment adds distinction: a decorative scroll strip is engraved along the grip frame butt. The revolver wears black checkered composition grips with Rampant Colt medallions, and the frame bears the Rampant Colt logo.
Markings include "COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT .22 CAL." on the left side of the barrel and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT.
U.S.A." across the barrel top. The gun is made in the United States and configured as a convertible/dual-cylinder F-Series example. MFG. 1969.
