This Model 111 Long Range Hunter features a 26 inch heavy-contour, free-floated carbon steel barrel with a threaded muzzle and fixed multi-baffle brake to help manage .338 Lapua recoil and maintain shot-to-shot stability. The 1:9 twist rate supports long, heavy projectiles common in this caliber.
The AccuStock aluminum-chassis bedding system locks the action securely in the black synthetic stock, and the adjustable comb helps achieve a consistent cheek weld. Additional stock details include molded texturing for grip, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs.
The user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows the shooter to fine-tune pull weight. Controls include a three-position tang safety and a bottom bolt-release lever inside the front of the trigger guard. This rifle uses a right-hand bolt and a detachable box magazine with a 4+1 capacity.
The receiver and barrel wear a matte blued finish. The rifle has no iron sights and includes a one-piece Picatinny scope base on the receiver and a short accessory rail segment on the forend underside. It utilizes Savage's typical barrel-nut interface and is made in the USA.
