Built by Inland in 1943, this M1 Carbine aligns with WWII-era production and carries correct receiver markings for the model. The Parkerized gray-phosphate finish over steel components pairs with a hardwood low-wood stock featuring the oiler/sling cut and a matching hardwood two-rivet upper handguard.
Key early features include the flat bolt, two-rivet handguard, and a narrow barrel band without a bayonet lug. The rear sight is an arsenal-upgraded stamped adjustable aperture with a right-side windage knob, complemented by a protected blade front sight. The push-button safety is correct for the pattern.
The short-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt action deliver the M1 Carbine’s characteristic operation in .30 Carbine. Capacity is stated as 15+1, and this example comes with two 15-round magazines.
Additional details of note include the barrel band stamped "AI" and the receiver marking "U.S. CARBINE CAL. 30 M1." The length of pull measures 13.25 inches. An under-barrel accessory block/plate (non-GI) is installed and fastened with three screws/rivets.
