What’s Included
- Marlin Model 39A .22 S/L/LR lever-action rifle
Produced in 1952, this rifle carries the J-prefix serial range and the barrel lacks Micro-Groove markings, consistent with early post-war 39A production. The standard 24-inch round carbon-steel barrel and matching blued receiver give it the correct period look and feel.
The walnut furniture includes a pistol-grip stock with a white-line spacer and a checkered Marlin buttplate, paired with a walnut beavertail forend. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
It is a true takedown 39A, using the large receiver screw for separation. The receiver is factory-tapped for a receiver sight, and the holes are currently plugged.
Sighting is via iron sights: a hooded ramp front and an elevator-adjustable rear leaf. The rifle is chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, with a 14+1 capacity in .22 LR. It uses an external hammer with a half-cock notch and does not have a cross-bolt safety. Made in the United States.
