What's Included
- Oregunsmithing custom Weatherby Mark V 7mm Rem. Mag. bolt-action rifle
This rifle is a custom build by Oregunsmithing on a Howa-Japan (H-prefix) Weatherby Mark V magnum action. The action uses the nine-lug design with a 54-degree bolt lift and feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate for a 3+1 capacity. A Timney trigger is installed.
The 26 inch barrel is longitudinally fluted, free-floated, and finished in matte grey Cerakote to match the receiver. It is fitted with a ported radial muzzle brake. The barrel bears an OREGUNSMITHING marking.
The Pendleton composite stock is bedded to the action and configured with a Monte Carlo comb and recoil pad. It wears a black/grey finish with white webbing and has a 13.5 inch length of pull. Sling studs are installed.
Chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag., the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases (four holes) and is not fitted with sights. Receiver markings include "MARK V Weatherby SOUTH GATE CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN U.S. PATENT NO.
3,013,355," with caliber markings on the barrel. The H-prefix serial indicates Howa-Japan production within the 1972–1994 era.
