The Model 70 Standard Rifle configuration here uses the post-1964 push-feed system with a recessed bolt face, plunger ejector, and a small extractor. The bolt body is jeweled, and the safety is the familiar three-position style. Capacity is four rounds in an internal box magazine, and the floorplate release is located inside the trigger guard.
The 24-inch sporter-contour steel barrel wears a blued finish and is set up without iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and two-piece Weaver-style bases are installed. The top of the barrel near the chamber shows two plugged holes.
The stock is walnut with a Monte Carlo comb, impressed checkering, and sling swivel studs, and it has been finished in a multi-tone camouflage overpaint. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. A black hard-rubber buttplate molded "Winchester Repeating Arms" completes the stock.
