The TA90 follows the proven CZ-75–pattern architecture with the slide running inside the frame rails, contributing to its smooth cycling. It is a full-size pistol with a 4.5-inch barrel and a 16+1 capacity, built on a metal frame with a uniform matte black finish.
The action is short-recoil, locked-breech, and DA/SA with a curved trigger, an exposed hammer, and a half-cock notch. Ambidextrous, frame-mounted manual safeties with red fire indicator dots support cocked-and-locked carry, and a left-side button controls magazine release.
Sights are fixed 3-dot with an integral front blade and a dovetailed rear. Checkered black synthetic grip panels provide a solid hold. The included 16-round magazine matches the pistol’s double-column design.
Markings and proofs include "MOD. TA90 – MADE IN ITALY" on the slide, "CAL. 9 PARA" on the barrel hood with Italian proof marks, and "PAT. PEND." on the frame. Early U.S.
importer marks from Hialeah/Miami, FL underscore its late 1980s–early 1990s import period.
The matte black slide and frame present a consistent finish, and the pistol retains period-correct configuration details that align with its Italian manufacture and early U.S. import history.
