Built by Rock-Ola in 1944, this USGI M1 Carbine represents a wartime configuration with period-correct features. The receiver ring bears the "U.S. CARBINE CAL. .30 M1" marking, and the rifle retains its parkerized finish over steel components.
The furniture is the low-wood hardwood stock with oval sling cut and an oiler tunnel, complemented by a two-rivet hardwood handguard and a stamped, checkered steel buttplate. The carbine uses the early narrow barrel band without a bayonet lug, a hallmark of earlier configurations.
Sighting is via iron sights: a protected blade front on the standard M1 base and the later adjustable aperture rear with a windage knob. The action is the M1’s semi-automatic, gas-operated short-stroke piston system and this example is an M1 configuration with no selector.
This carbine is import-marked near the muzzle. It comes with magazines in both standard and extended capacities and includes a USGI web sling with the stock oiler installed. Capacity is listed at 30+1 when using the 30-round magazine.
