What’s Included
- Parker Brothers VH Grade 12 Gauge side-by-side shotgun
This VH Grade is a hammerless, break-action side-by-side configured with 30 inch 12 gauge barrels, a top lever, and a doll's-head rib extension. The solid matted top rib contributes to a classic field-ready layout, and capacity is two rounds.
The barrels are marked with the correct top rib inscription: "PARKER BROTHERS, MAKERS, MERIDEN, CONN. VULCAN STEEL." Metalwork shows light factory border engraving with "PARKER BROS" on the side panels, and the finish is blued.
Furniture includes a checkered walnut pistol-grip stock capped with a hard-rubber "PARKER BROS. MERIDEN, CONN." grip cap and a splinter forend with Deeley push-button latch. Controls are traditional Parker: double triggers and a tang safety. A Pachmayr White Line recoil pad with spacer stack is installed, yielding a 14.5 inch length of pull.
Markings and grades align with a VH: watertable stamped "PARKER BROS. REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." with patent dates "PAT'D JAN.
18, AUG. 16, 1887; OCT. 25, 1910; AUG. 15, 1905," grade stamp "V," and barrel flats with a circled "V" and "3 12." Matching serial numbers are observed on the receiver, forend iron, and trigger guard tang. Made in the USA, this piece dates to the Meriden era around 1913.
