This Single Action Army is built on a steel frame with a color case-hardened finish, matched to a blued barrel, cylinder, ejector housing, and grip frame. The black checkered American Eagle hard-rubber grips with Rampant Colt medallions provide a period-correct look and secure purchase.
Chambered in .38 Special, it uses a fluted six-shot cylinder and operates in single-action only. The revolver is equipped with a smooth trigger and a wide, bordered spur hammer that supports confident, deliberate cocking.
The sighting setup is true to form with a fixed blade front sight and a topstrap rear notch. It also retains the standard cross-pin base pin latch and a right-side ejector-rod housing with a spring-loaded ejector rod for positive case removal.
Markings include the barrel rollmark "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" and the top barrel address "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." The frame shows the two-line patent dates and Rampant Colt, and assembler/inspection letters appear on the trigger guard front strap.
