What's Included
- Golden State Arms Santa Fe Model 1945 bolt-action rifle
Converted by Golden State Arms as the Santa Fe Model 1945, this rifle retains the strong lineage of its U.S. Model of 1917 Winchester receiver while adopting a streamlined sporter configuration. Receiver markings include "U.S. MODEL OF 1917 WINCHESTER" and "SANTA FE MODEL 1945 / GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORP PASADENA CALIF."
The action is bolt-operated with cock-on-close function, and the bolt body is left in the white with the classic dog-leg handle. As part of the sporterization, the receiver sight ears were milled off. A fixed internal box magazine provides a 5-round capacity.
The rifle wears a 22-inch carbon steel sporter barrel and a blued finish on the receiver and barrel. Iron sights include a ramped front with a dovetailed blade and a barrel-mounted open rear sight with an adjustable notch.
The hardwood stock is configured in sporter style with a finger-groove fore-end, contrasting fore-end tip spacers, and sling swivels. A Santa Fe-branded ventilated recoil pad sets the length of pull at 14.0 inches, offering a traditional hunting-rifle fit.
The barrel is not marked with a designated caliber. .30-06 Springfield snap caps were able to load and cycle through this rifle. It is recommended to verify caliber with a local qualified gunsmith.
