What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336 R.C. .30-30 lever-action rifle
The receiver is a solid-top matted "waffle-top" design and is not drilled or tapped on the top surface. Two factory tapped holes on the left receiver wall accommodate an aperture/receiver sight. Ejection is to the right, and loading is via the side gate, with no cross-bolt safety as expected for this 1952 configuration.
The 20 inch round barrel pairs with a full-length tubular magazine for a 6+1 capacity. Sighting equipment includes a ramped blade front sight without hood and a semi-buckhorn rear sight, giving a clear and traditional sight picture for a carbine-length lever gun.
Stock furniture is walnut, with a pistol-grip buttstock and an uncheckered carbine fore-end. The butt is a shotgun-style profile with a black composition buttplate molded with the "Marlin" logo and a white-line spacer. Twin barrel bands secure the fore-end and magazine.
The rifle wears a blued finish over its steel receiver and barrel. A JM barrel proof is present, and the wrist is stamped "B J." This U.S.-made carbine reflects period Marlin production details from 1952 that many enthusiasts look for.
