The M-243 Firestar Plus is a compact, single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech 9mm designed around a double-stack magazine. Capacity is 10+1, and the standard magazine release and external ring-style spur hammer keep the manual of arms straightforward.
The steel slide and aluminum-alloy frame are finished in nickel, with rear slide serrations and top anti-glare serrations for practical handling and sight tracking. A grooved frontstrap enhances purchase at the front of the grip.
Controls and sights are set up for confident operation: an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, fixed 3-dot sights, a dovetailed ramp front sight, and a dovetailed square-notch rear sight. The one-piece wraparound checkered black polymer grips wear the Star medallion.
Barrel length is 3.39 in, with approximate overall dimensions of 6.5 in length, 4.9 in height, and 1.18 in width. Unloaded weight is about 24.7 oz. This 1990s Spanish-made pistol bears the INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA import stamp and aligns with production circa 1995–1997.
