Winchester M1 Carbine .30 Carbine Semi-Auto, 18 inch, 1943 WWII Receiver with Inland Barrel, Type III Bayonet Lug, Adjustable Rear Sight
This Winchester M1 Carbine pairs a 1943 Winchester receiver from the first wartime serial block with an Inland-manufactured barrel and an arsenal-upgraded configuration. It features the late stamped, fully adjustable rear sight, a Type III barrel band with integral bayonet lug, and a low-wood stock with oval sling/oiler cut. The parkerized finish, clean bore, and absence of import marks make this a strong example for collectors and shooters who value correct WWII-era components and documented upgrade features.

The receiver is marked "U.S. CARBINE CAL. .30 M1" and falls within Winchester’s first wartime serial block (1,000,000–1,349,999), dating to 1943. The barrel is marked "INLAND MFG. DIV.," reflecting a correct WWII pairing seen on U.S.
service carbines.
Its configuration reflects an arsenal upgrade with late features on an earlier Winchester receiver. The stamped, fully adjustable rear sight is properly staked to the receiver, and the Type III barrel band includes the integral bayonet lug and sling swivel.
Sights are the standard iron set: a protected post front with ears and a rear aperture adjustable for windage and elevation via ramp and knob. The 18 inch steel barrel and the M1’s short-stroke gas tappet system support the carbine’s proven operation.
The stock is the low-wood pattern with an oval sling/oiler cut and a metal buttplate, paired with a wood handguard featuring vent/rivet holes. The receiver and metal components wear a parkerized finish. Length of pull is 13.0 inches.
No import marks are observed. This carbine also comes outfitted with period-correct field gear, including an OD web sling, buttstock oiler, and a U.S.-marked two-pocket pouch dated 1943, plus both 15- and 30-round magazines and a bayonet.
