The M9-22 mirrors the controls and ergonomics of the centerfire M9/92 while using straight blowback operation for .22 LR. It is manufactured in Germany by Umarex and bears CIP proof marks with a DE 17 proof/date code. Markings include "BERETTA U.S.A. … MD" on the left slide and "READ MANUAL BEFORE USE" and "MADE IN GERMANY BY UMAREX" on the frame.
User-friendly controls include an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, a reversible magazine release, and an external spurred hammer. The slide uses the signature open-top design with rear cocking serrations, and the dustcover is non-railed.
Fixed sights consist of a front blade and a square-notch rear in a dovetail, with a 6.1 inch sight radius. The pistol wears checkered polymer grips with Beretta "PB" medallions and a matte black finish on both slide and frame.
Dimensions and weight support easy handling and training value: overall length is approximately 8.5 inches, height about 5.5 inches, and unloaded weight about 26 ounces. The 4.9 inch barrel and 10+1 capacity suit range use while preserving M9-style balance and feel.
This example includes multiple factory magazines and the Beretta-labeled hard case. The serials observed on the slide, barrel, and frame match the case label, aligning the pistol and its factory packaging.
