Built in West Germany circa 1973–1974, this pistol is part of the Mauser Original Parabellum series and follows the classic short-recoil, toggle-locked design. It is chambered in 9mm Luger and uses single-stack magazines with a 8+1 capacity.
The American Eagle variant features the Great Seal crest on the chamber and a toggle marked "Original Mauser" within the Mauser banner. The grip frame is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. Oberndorf a.N." Knurled toggle knobs and the fixed V-notch rear sight in the rear toggle link retain the traditional Luger layout.
Finish details are distinctive: a high-polish blue on the frame and receiver, straw-finished small parts, and bright in-the-white/brushed surfaces on the toggle and upper receiver. Checkered wood grips complete the period-correct look and feel.
Proofs and import markings include West German commercial nitro proofs, "Made in Germany" markings, and the INTERARMS Alexandria, Virginia import mark with starburst logo. The serial number falls in the 11.xxxxxx range associated with Mauser's 1970s 9mm production, aligning with the documented production window.
