Ruger Mark I Target .22 LR, 6 7/8 in Barrel, 1960, Bushnell Trophy Red Dot on B-Square Mount, Pachmayr Grips, 2 Mags
This Ruger Mark I Target is a 1960, pre-prefix example with the 6 7/8 in tapered target barrel and blued steel construction. It retains hallmark Mark I features such as twin bolt ears and a heel-style magazine release, and it comes outfitted with a B-Square clamp-on scope base carrying a Bushnell Trophy red dot. Pachmayr wraparound grips and two 10-round magazines round out a capable, classic .22 LR target setup.

The Mark I Target configuration features a 6 7/8 in tapered, target-profile barrel and a steel frame and receiver finished in blue. It is chambered in .22 LR and uses Ruger’s straight blowback, semi-automatic action.
Controls and handling reflect the early Mark I design: twin bolt ears for charging, a heel-style magazine release, and a manual safety. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazines.
The pistol is currently set up with a B-Square clamp-on scope base/rail and a Bushnell Trophy red dot sight. With the mount installed, the factory rear sight is obscured. The front sight is a Patridge blade.
Made in the USA and shipped circa 1960 (pre-prefix serial era), this example pairs period-correct construction with practical upgrades. The Pachmayr wraparound rubber grips with finger grooves provide a secure, hand-filling hold.
