Built at Tula in 1939, this M91/30 uses the round receiver pattern and a turn-bolt, cock-on-open action. It is chambered for 7.62x54R and feeds from a fixed internal 5-round magazine, maintaining the standard service configuration for the platform.
The rifle retains its 29-inch steel barrel and original-style iron sights, including a hooded post front with protective globe (pinned) and a tangent rear sight with a sliding elevator. Two spring-retained barrel bands and a full-length wood handguard complete the traditional M91/30 layout.
The laminated hardwood stock shows the classic orange/brown shellac finish, with a finger-groove forearm and sling slots fitted with metal liners. Length of pull is 13.0 inches. A web sling is installed, and the Mosin-Nagant pattern cleaning rod is mounted under the barrel.
Metal surfaces present a matte blued finish, with a matte blue/park style tone on the receiver. Markings include the Tula star over 1939 on the barrel shank and a Century Arms International (Georgia, VT) import stamp, along with an importer-applied long serial. The floorplate and buttplate are force-matched via electro-penciled serial AM588, with an earlier floorplate number lined out.
