Details
Built in 1983, this Model 1894S carries the JM proofmark and North Haven manufacture, placing it firmly in the classic Marlin era. The receiver is the solid-top, side-eject style and is drilled and tapped with four holes for scope bases, providing mounting flexibility while retaining traditional lines.
The 20 inch round barrel uses Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling and a 1:38 twist for the .44 Rem Magnum chambering. A full-length tubular magazine feeds via a right-side loading gate and holds eight rounds. The lever is a standard-size loop for familiar handling.
Sights are classic and practical: a hooded ramp front sight paired with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a stepped elevator. This setup offers a clear, rugged sight picture well-suited to the carbine's intended use.
Stock furniture is gloss-finished wood with a straight-grip buttstock, smooth forend, and a black Marlin hard-rubber buttplate with a white-line spacer. The length of pull measures 13.25 inches. Metalwork is blued throughout, with a blued steel receiver and traditional exposed hammer.
