Built at Tula Arsenal in 1938, this M91/30 features a round receiver and straight bolt handle with the bolt body left in the white. It is chambered in 7.62x54R and uses the traditional external cocking-piece safety. The rifle retains its integral fixed 5-round magazine with a hinged floorplate.
The long 29-inch steel barrel has a recessed crown. Sighting is by original-pattern iron sights: a hooded front sight base and a rear tangent sight with a slider graduated to 20.
The rifle has been sporterized with an aftermarket black synthetic Monte Carlo stock. Ergonomic updates include a right-side cheek swell, molded grip and forend checkering, sling swivel studs, and a black rubber buttpad. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Import marks read PW ARMS REDMOND WA, and the receiver carries an importer-applied serial. Additional markings include the Tula five-point star over the 1938 date and inspection cartouches. Matching assembly numbers 1765 are present on the bolt handle and floorplate. The cleaning rod is not present.
