What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336W .30-30 lever-action rifle
- Installed knurled hammer spur extension
The Model 336W layout features a 20-inch barrel and a full-length tubular magazine secured by a barrel band, delivering the classic .30-30 lever-gun profile with side ejection and a solid-top receiver. The blued/matte receiver and blued barrel are complemented by a gold-colored trigger.
Micro-Groove rifling supports consistent bullet engagement in the bore. The rifle is equipped with an elevator-adjustable semi-buckhorn leaf rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and some plug screws are present while others are not.
The hardwood pistol-grip buttstock and matching forend wear pressed diamond checkering, a walnut finish, a rubber buttpad, and sling swivel studs (rear stud with a front sling swivel on the barrel band). The wood furniture is uniquely customized with hand-carved and paint-filled knotwork and runic motifs, reflecting Viking-style artwork added by a previous owner.
Controls and handling details include a cross-bolt safety and the installed knurled hammer spur extension. An oval REP proof mark is present on the barrel. The MR-prefix serial and Ilion, NY address identify this as Remington-era Marlin production.
