The 950BS Jetfire is a single-action, simple blowback pistol chambered in .25 ACP (6.35mm). It uses Beretta's tip-up barrel system and, by design, does not have an extractor. The barrel measures 2.4 inches and is made of carbon steel.
This micro-size model pairs an aluminum alloy frame with a blued slide featuring rear serrations. Controls include a heel-release magazine catch, a left-side thumb safety with a red witness dot, and an inertia firing pin. The external spur hammer provides a clear visual and tactile interface for cocking.
Sights are fixed, with an integral front blade and a square-notch rear. The grips are black checkered plastic with Beretta trident medallions, plus a molded "25 U.S.A." circle. Capacity is 8+1 with the included single-stack magazine.
Manufacture and markings are U.S.-based: the slide is marked "BERETTA U.S.A. CORP., ACKK., MD" and "MOD. 950 BS – .25 Cal. MADE IN U.S.A.", with an oval PB logo and U.S.-origin markings present. The frame shows a BU—V serial format consistent with the 950BS U.S.
production. The 950 series was introduced in 1952, with U.S.-made 950BS production continuing into the early 2000s before discontinuation circa 2002–2003.
