What’s Included
- Marlin Model 60 .22 LR semi-automatic rifle
The rifle uses a blowback action and a 19 inch steel Micro-Groove barrel marked "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO., MAYFIELD, KY, U.S.A. MODEL 60 MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL .22 LR ONLY." This barrel design is known for its numerous shallow grooves and is paired with open sights for straightforward shooting.
Feeding is via a tube magazine with a 14+1 capacity. The tube has a witness slot and a removable inner magazine tube for loading and maintenance. Ejection is to the right, and the charging handle is knurled on the right side for positive manipulation.
The receiver is grooved for 3/8-inch tip-off scope rings, giving the owner a simple path to add rings if desired. The trigger guard is polymer and houses a cross-bolt safety that shows a red annulus when disengaged.
The stock is a plain, uncheckered hardwood with a straight comb and a black Marlin buttplate. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, offering a comfortable fit for a wide range of shooters.
This example comes from the Remington-managed Mayfield, Kentucky era of production and retains a classic blued finish with open sights: a ramped, unhooded front blade and an adjustable rear with a stepped elevator.
