What’s Included
- Cobra CB38 Big Bore .38 Special derringer
The CB38 Big Bore uses an over/under 2.75 inch steel barrel cluster with an integral top rib and a break-open, single-action layout. It carries fixed sights with a front blade and a rear sighting groove along the rib for a simple, durable sight picture. Capacity is two rounds.
The alloy frame wears a matte black finish and black textured synthetic grips with Cobra-logo medallions. Controls include a left-side manual safety marked 'PUSH UP FIRE / DOWN SAFE,' a right-side barrel-locking lever, and a right-side sliding extractor. The exposed hammer has a serrated spur, and the curved trigger is set without a trigger guard, consistent with traditional derringer design.
Sized for minimal bulk, the CB38 is designated Micro, with an overall length of approximately 4.65 inches and a published weight of about 14 ounces. Safety features include a manual safety and a half-cock notch for the hammer.
Chambered in .38 Special, this model is not rated for +P ammunition and is intended for ball-nose ammunition only; it is not chambered for .38 shotshells (per the factory manual). Frame markings include 'MODEL CB38 CAL. 38 SPCL., Cobra Salt Lake City, UT,' and the pistol was manufactured in the United States.
