Built under German occupation and designated Pistole 640(b), this Hi-Power presents documented military acceptance with E/WaA140 Heereswaffenamt stamps and German eagle test proofs. The trigger guard carries an "MD" inspector mark, and the left side of the slide is correctly marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE / HERSTAL BELGIQUE" and "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE."
The pistol retains the wartime internal extractor and ring hammer, aligning with the period-correct configuration. Its blued finish over carbon-steel frame and slide, paired with checkered wood grips, delivers the classic Hi-Power profile and feel.
Sighting is via a fixed front blade and an adjustable tangent rear sight graduated from 50 to 500 meters. The frame includes a stock slot, consistent with early wartime Hi-Power features.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, it uses a single-action trigger with a thumb safety and standard magazine release. The 4.6 in barrel and 13+1 capacity reflect the definitive Hi-Power design that set the benchmark for double-stack service pistols of its era.
