It features the classic A1 integral fixed-tube optic/carry handle and a 20 in quick-change ribbed barrel with a three-slot flash hider and folding vertical foregrip. Built by Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria, this AUG/SA A1 is a true pre-ban import tied to August 1983 by the Austrian "PTR" date code on the barrel. It carries the NPv eagle/shield proof, aligning it to its original Austrian manufacture and inspection.
The 20 in steel barrel uses the AUG quick-change system and features ribbing, a three-slot flash hider, and a folding vertical foregrip. The barrel is threaded, and the rifle feeds from proprietary AUG-pattern magazines; one 30-round magazine is included.
Operation is gas-operated with a rotating bolt. Controls include a non-reciprocating left-side charging handle and a cross-bolt safety. The bullpup layout delivers a 14.5 in length of pull, with a polymer stock and a steel receiver. Ejection is right-hand, with a left-side port cover present.
The A1 integral fixed-tube optic/carry handle provides the classic AUG sighting system and profile. Capacity is 30+1 in 5.56mm NATO. A web sling is attached, matching the configuration expected of an early AUG/SA A1 from this era.
