What’s Included
- Marlin Glenfield Model 60 .22 LR semi-automatic rifle
Produced in 1975 at Marlin’s North Haven, Connecticut facility, this rifle’s "25" serial prefix and barrel rollmark confirm the year and origin. The Glenfield branding denotes the value-line variant, and this example retains the early 22-inch barrel configuration associated with mid-1970s production.
Chambered in .22 LR and operating on a blowback, semi-automatic action, the Model 60 uses an under-barrel tubular magazine with a 14+1 capacity. Controls are right-side, including the charging handle and ejection port, for straightforward handling.
The 22-inch steel barrel is crowned, and the sighting system includes a ramped, hooded front sight with a colored bead and an adjustable open rear. The receiver top is cut with 3/8 inch tip-off grooves for rimfire rings, providing an easy path to add rimfire-compatible rings if desired.
The hardwood pistol grip stock shows pressed checkering and the signature squirrel motif, paired with a black buttplate. A 13.25-inch length of pull offers a comfortable fit. The blued finish completes the traditional look while aligning with the rifle’s period-correct features.
