This Italian-made F.lli Pietta 1851 Navy brass-frame revolver is a faithful cap-and-ball reproduction with classic materials and markings. It features a 7.5 inch octagonal blued steel barrel, a six-shot blued steel cylinder, and a brass frame with one-piece hardwood grip. Clear Italian proof marks and "BLACK POWDER ONLY ITALY" markings confirm its origin and black powder configuration.
Built on the open-top Colt pattern, this single-action percussion revolver uses a transverse wedge and an under-barrel loading lever. The cylinder presents a plain finish without a naval scene, and the fixed sighting system combines a brass post front with a V-notch in the hammer for the rear.

What’s Included
- F.lli Pietta 1851 Navy brass-frame .44 cap-and-ball revolver
The revolver pairs a blued steel barrel and cylinder with a brass frame, trigger guard, and backstrap, delivering the classic blued-and-brass look. The one-piece smooth hardwood Navy-profile grip completes the traditional configuration.
Operation is single-action percussion with an under-barrel loading lever for charging each chamber. The open-top frame and transverse wedge follow the Colt-style layout, and the six-shot cylinder is finished in blue with a plain exterior.
Sights are fixed: a brass post up front and a V-notch cut into the hammer at the rear. The 7.5 inch octagonal barrel is steel, providing a long sight radius in a period-correct format.
Markings include ".44" and "BLACK POWDER ONLY ITALY" on the barrel, with Italian Gardone/Brescia proof marks, PN black-powder proof, and a boxed two-letter date code. This reproduction was made in Italy by F.lli Pietta.
