The High Sierra Combination configuration provides two dedicated 9-shot cylinders, one for .22 LR and one for .22 WMR, giving the shooter caliber flexibility with proper chambering. The revolver uses a double-action/single-action system with an external spurred hammer, and a swing-out cylinder that is released by pushing the under-barrel rod assembly forward.
Its 7" octagonal steel barrel is paired with a tall quarter-round blade front sight and a square-notch fully adjustable rear sight pinned to the topstrap. This sight setup allows fine adjustment for different loads and the two included chamberings.
The revolver is built on a steel frame with a high-polish blued finish, matching blued cylinder, and steel receiver. Gold-plated grip straps and trigger guard add a distinctive visual element. Smooth two-piece walnut grips with HS medallions complete the Western/SAA-profile look, complemented by the spring-loaded rod housing beneath the barrel.
Manufactured in the United States, this example bears the Hamden, Conn. barrel address associated with pre-1977 production. It represents the High Sierra series design of the 1970s in a full-size format with the series' characteristic mechanics and styling.
