The Sentinel Deluxe R-107 configuration delivers a nine-shot capacity in a compact DA/SA platform. It features a 6-inch round barrel, a swing-out cylinder, and fixed iron sights: a low-ramp front blade and a square-notch rear set in the top strap. The frame is marked R-107, aligning with the series designation.
Construction uses a die-cast aluminum-alloy frame with a black anodized finish, matched to a blued carbon-steel barrel and cylinder for a classic black/blue two-tone profile. The cylinder has long, shallow flutes, and the hammer is an exposed spur type.
Controls are straightforward and distinctive to the Sentinel series. The cylinder releases by pulling the knurled ejector-rod head forward. Internally, the design uses a largely screwless, coil-spring mechanism credited to designer Harry H. Sefried II.
Ergonomics include two-piece checkered wood grips with a square-butt profile and a circular frame medallion inset above the grip panels. The barrel is rollmarked "SENTINEL DELUXE" and "HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP. HAMDEN, CONN. U.S.A.
.22 CAL." denoting its Hamden, Connecticut production and caliber.
