What’s Included
- USFA Double Eagle .45 Colt revolver
Built in Hartford, Connecticut, this USFA Double Eagle follows the classic Single-Action Army pattern with a six-shot, six-flute cylinder and a 3.5 inch barrel. It uses fixed iron sights with a narrow blade front and an integral topstrap notch/groove rear for a traditional sight picture.
The revolver wears a birdshead grip frame with smooth white two-piece stocks and a Low Bisley style hammer featuring a low, wide spur for confident thumb purchase. These elements give the compact barrel length a balanced, period-correct handling profile.
The frame and loading gate are bone-charcoal style color case-hardened, and the barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, backstrap, and ejector housing are high-polish blued. Doug Turnball Color Case Hardened finishing highlights the vivid case colors, while the high polish on the blued parts provides a clean, premium look.
Traditional details include a screw-retained cylinder base pin (blackpowder-frame style) and an ejector rod housing with a round "bullseye" ejector head. Factory rollmarks include "45 COLT" on the left side of the barrel and "U.S.F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT.
U.S.A." on the top. The frame shows a two-line patent legend, and the topstrap behind the hammer bears an assembler/inspection stamp "A2 0."
