Made at Tula Arsenal and dated 1931, this revolver represents interwar Russian production and carries the Tula five-pointed star on the frame. The markings also include multiple small inspector and acceptance stamps on the frame and hammer.
It uses the Nagant gas-seal mechanism with a seven-shot cylinder chambered in 7.62 Nagant (7.62x38R). The revolver is gate-loaded and uses an under-barrel rod ejector, consistent with the M1895 pattern.
Configuration is double-action/single-action with a 4.5 inch barrel. Sighting is straightforward and robust, using a fixed front blade and a rear notch integral to the topstrap.
Construction includes a blued steel frame and cylinder, paired with checkered hardwood grip panels. A lanyard ring is fitted to the butt. Import marking reads "C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. 7.62 x 38R 1895 RUSSIA." An additional assembly number is present at the frame/barrel junction.
