Built by A. Uberti for Cimarron, this Model P Pre-War is a faithful reproduction of the classic Single Action Army pattern with period-correct details. It uses a Pre-War smokeless-frame and a transverse base-pin latch, paired with a bullseye ejector-rod head for the traditional look and function enthusiasts expect.
The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and configured with a 5.5 inch "Artillery" length barrel. The six-shot fluted cylinder complements the balance and handling associated with this barrel length.
Construction and finish are true to form: a steel frame and receiver with color case-hardening, and a blued barrel and cylinder. One-piece varnished hardwood grips with Cimarron medallions complete the period styling.
Sighting is straightforward and durable with a fixed blade front and a top-strap groove rear. The frame bears Italian proof marks and the "CU" two-letter code, and the barrel shows "Cimarron Firearms / A. Uberti (Italy)" markings along with the two-line 1871/1872 patent legend on the left frame.
Attention to matching details is present, with the cylinder numbered so the last four digits match the frame serial. The Model P Pre-War series and single-action-only operation round out a configuration that is both authentic and range-ready.
