What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336 R.C. .30-30 lever-action rifle
Built in 1950, this Regular Carbine variant retains hallmark early features, including the waffle-top receiver that is matted/checkered and not drilled or tapped on top. The receiver has two factory holes on the left side for a receiver sight. It is a pre-cross-bolt safety configuration consistent with the era.
The 20 in carbine barrel is paired with a full-length tubular magazine running to the muzzle and secured by two barrel bands, providing a 6+1 capacity. It uses a round bolt, with right-side ejection and a right-side loading gate.
Pre-Micro-Groove Ballard-type rifling complements its iron sights: a ramped front sight on a dovetailed base (no hood) and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with a stepped elevator. A half-cock hammer serves as the safety.
The rifle wears a blued steel receiver and blued finish overall. The walnut pistol-grip buttstock and plain semi-beavertail fore-end are uncheckered. A ventilated rubber recoil pad has been added, bringing the length of pull to 14.0 inches. Made in the United States.
