Manufactured in 1943, this Remington-Rand M1911A1 is a wartime U.S. Army contract pistol. Remington Rand was the largest producer of M1911A1s during WWII, and this example reflects that production with correct markings and finish.
It retains hallmark GI configuration details: small fixed sights, original unmodified ejection port, arched and checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, and brown checkered plastic grip panels. The slide carries vertical rear serrations, and the finish is a matte gray Parkerized consistent with the period.

Army contract pistols of the era.
Built on a full-size carbon steel frame and receiver, it features a 5-inch barrel, single-action operation, a short serrated trigger, and a wide-spur checkered hammer. Safety equipment includes the standard thumb safety and grip safety. Capacity is 7+1 with the included magazine.
