What’s Included
- Colt New Army & Navy Model 1892-series revolver
This Model 1892-series revolver exhibits hallmark mechanical features of the line: a rear-mounted cylinder latch, counter-clockwise cylinder rotation, and a front-lock, unshrouded ejector system with a stud that engages a hole in the ejector rod head. The round-butt grip frame and the absence of a lanyard ring indicate a commercial configuration.
The 4.5-inch carbon-steel barrel is rollmarked "COLT D.A. 41" on the left side, with a top-of-barrel address and patent line that includes Aug. 5, 1884; Nov. 6, 1888; and Mar. 5, 1895 (partially legible).
Fixed sights consist of a half-moon front and a groove in the topstrap for the rear.
Construction is all carbon steel for the frame, cylinder, and barrel, paired with checkered black hard-rubber grips bearing Colt logo emblems. The hammer has a checkered spur, and the smooth, curved trigger supports double-action/single-action operation.
Matching assembly numbers "333" are observed on the crane, the frame recess, and the rear face of the cylinder latch. An inspector-style "V" over "4" stamp appears in the crane recess, providing additional period identification.
Manufactured in the United States in 1899, this six-shot .41 Colt example aligns with late-1890s Colt production and the established traits of the 1892-series revolvers.
