The Model 742 Woodsmaster uses a gas-operated system with a 19-lug rotating bolt and a standard 22-inch barrel, giving it the smooth semi-auto performance that defined this series. Capacity is 4+1 with the included 4-round magazine. The right-side charging handle and cross-bolt safety provide familiar, straightforward controls.
Walnut-finished furniture with a straight comb showcases classic details: impressed checkering, fleur-de-lis style accents, and white-line spacers. Sling swivel studs are installed for easy carry options. Length of pull is 13.25 inches. The steel receiver and barrel wear a blued finish.
Sighting equipment includes a ramped front sight with a dovetailed bead and a folding rear leaf sight with an elevation ramp and windage screw.
