What’s Included
- Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG Karabiner 98k (bnz 41) rifle
- Original-pattern front sight hood
- Cleaning rod
Receiver markings include "bnz 41" on the ring and "Mod. 98" on the left receiver rail, aligning the rifle with 1941 Steyr production. Multiple Heereswaffenamt acceptance marks are present, including WaA623 on the receiver and barrel shank, WaA77 on the rear sight base, and WaA655 on the floorplate/trigger guard. The buttplate is marked "gqm 44."
The rifle follows the K98k pattern with a turned-down bolt and round knob, a bayonet-lug front band, and a blued steel military finish. It uses the controlled-round-feed Mauser 98 action with cock-on-open operation. Feeding is from an internal 5-round magazine loaded via stripper clips.
Sighting equipment consists of a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight. The original-pattern front sight hood is present, as is the cleaning rod—both hallmark components of the military configuration.
The laminated hardwood stock features a left-side sling slot, a takedown disk, and a cupped steel buttplate. These features reflect late-war German infantry requirements for durability and field serviceability.
Dimensions and handling are in line with the K98k service profile: a 23.6 in barrel and an overall length of approximately 43.7 in, with a 13.5 in length of pull. Chambered in 8mm Mauser, this rifle represents a correct wartime configuration from a major producer.
