The No. 1configuration pairs the .375 H&H Mag chambering with Ruger’s robust, hammerless falling-block action. This Farquharson-style system delivers the compact profile and smooth operation the No. 1 is known for, with a No. 1 adjustable ejector system noted on this example.
The 24 in blued barrel is outfitted with a ramped front sight featuring a white bead and a folding-leaf rear sight set into the quarter rib. The rib is machined to accept Ruger’s proprietary rings, and a set of Ruger quick-detach ringmounts is included.
The checkered walnut stock has a pistol-grip layout, checkered forend and wrist, a black grip cap with Ruger medallion, and a red Ruger-logo recoil pad with black spacer. Sling swivel studs are installed at the barrel and in the buttstock. Length of pull measures 13.5 in.
Ruger proof and inspection marks are present. This U.S.-made No. 1retains the iron-sight setup and classic No. 1 profile, with a clean, mirror-finished bore and sharply defined rifling.
