This 1976 Marlin Model 336C is a North Haven, pre–cross-bolt safety carbine in .30-30 with a 20-inch Micro-Groove barrel. It features classic Marlin wood furniture, a gold-colored trigger, and iron sights. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped with plug screws in place, and the carbine layout includes two barrel bands and a full-length tubular magazine.

Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

    What’s Included

    • Marlin Model 336C .30-30 lever-action rifle

Built in 1976 at Marlin’s North Haven facility, this 336C retains the earlier pre–cross-bolt safety configuration and uses a half-cock hammer for safety. The serial prefix corresponds with its 1976 manufacture year.

The 20-inch round carbon steel barrel is blued and cut with Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling. It bears the Micro-Groove rollmark and is paired with practical iron sights: a hooded ramp front and a semi-buckhorn rear with elevator.

This carbine layout uses two barrel bands and a full-length tubular magazine. The receiver is blued carbon steel and comes factory drilled and tapped, with plug screws fitted.

The wood stock and fore-end present the 336C’s classic styling: a pistol-grip, uncheckered panels, black grip cap, and white-line spacers. Marlin’s bullseye inlay and a Marlin-branded hard buttplate complete the look. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches. A gold-colored trigger adds a distinctive visual detail.

Overall, it is a solid, period-correct .30-30 carbine with clean internals and the hallmark Marlin features collectors and hunters expect from mid-1970s North Haven production.
