Produced by J. Stevens Arms Co. (Division of Savage Arms), this Model 520-30 is receiver rollmarked "MOD. 520-30" and carries U.S. military acceptance marks: "U.S." with a small "P" and the ordnance flaming bomb.
The barrel address references Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, and includes "PROOF TESTED - 12 GAUGE - 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER."
The shotgun has been sporterized from its original martial configuration. It is currently set up with a sporting-length barrel and is configured without a bayonet lug or heat shield. A receiver-top accessory rail has been added, and the buttplate is an Ithaca Gun Co. hard rubber unit.
