Product Description

Colt Police Positive Special First Issue .32-20 WCF Revolver, 5" Barrel (1923), Fixed Sights, D-Frame

Manufactured in 1923, this Colt Police Positive Special First Issue is a .32-20 W.C.F. chambered D-frame revolver with a 5-inch carbon-steel barrel and fixed sights. Hallmark First Issue details include a smooth topstrap, an unshrouded ejector rod, and checkered black hard-rubber "COLT" grips. The barrel rollmark clearly identifies the model and chambering, and the Rampant Colt logo is present on the frame.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Fair - Generally clean, some residue or smudges, slight corrosion.

Bore Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.

Specific Condition Notes: The original bluing has largely thinned or shifted to a mottled grey/brown patina, with visible surface peppering and handling marks consistent with age. Multiple non-factory, amateur engravings are present on the frame. Inventory-style electropenciled numbers are visible on the frame exterior. The double-action and single-action functions cycle. The checkered black hard-rubber "COLT" grips are structurally sound with smoothing and dings.

    What's Included

    • Colt Police Positive Special First Issue revolver chambered in .32-20 Win. with 5" barrel

Built on Colt's D-frame, this Police Positive Special features a swing-out, fluted six-shot cylinder with a star extractor and the Colt Positive Lock internal safety. It wears fixed iron sights with a half-moon blade front and a notch milled into the topstrap for the rear.

The First Issue configuration is evident through its smooth topstrap, unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip, and factory checkered black hard-rubber "COLT" stocks. The left frame bears the Rampant Colt logo, and the barrel is rollmarked "POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL .32-20 W.C.F."
