What’s Included
- Winchester Model 94 Legendary Frontiersmen Commemorative .38-55 rifle
This commemorative Model 94 captures the Frontier theme with a factory antique-silver plated receiver and full-panel roll engraving. The artwork includes frontiersmen on horseback, pack animals, eagle, bear, beaver, and jackrabbit, all framed by scroll borders. The buttstock carries an inletted silver medallion depicting a hand-to-hand combat scene, and the barrel is roll-marked "Legendary Frontiersmen."
The rifle is built around a 24 in round blued steel barrel with a full-length tubular magazine. Chambered in .38-55 Win., it holds 6+1 rounds. The forend cap and receiver-to-magazine junction pieces are finished to match the silver receiver, tying the presentation together.
Stocked in American walnut, the straight-grip butt and forend feature wraparound fleur-de-lis checkering for a secure hold and classic look. Length of pull measures 13.25 in. Factory markings include "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" on the barrel and "MODEL 1894 WINCHESTER" on the top tang.
Open sights are standard, with a blade front sight topped by a brass bead and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with an elevator. The receiver sides are drilled and tapped for a receiver/aperture sight, with plug screws installed. As expected for this era, there is no cross-bolt safety.
